Desks for Success

On Dec. 16, 2011, Desks for Success donated 10 desks to fifth, sixth and seventh grade students from Alta Vista Elementary, Fruitville Elementary and McIntosh Middle schools. Five of the students and their family members gathered in the media center of McIntosh for the desk donation ceremony before the students took their new desks home.

This spring, Desks for Success was awarded a $1,000 grant from Ashoka's Youth Venture. Youth Venture helps groups worldwide start new youth-led organizations.
The grant will enable Desks for Success to continue to provide home desks to students. We look forward to making the next round of desk donations soon!
